About Us
At the Roth Turkey Farm, we strive to provide the freshest turkey product, at the highest level of quality to our customers. Our products are federally inspected following state and local regulations. We provide an all-vegetable, all-natural diet to our flocks, with nothing added or injected. We do this by only using high quality feed ingredients raised sustainably on local farms. Our farm provides temperature-controlled buildings with generous access to water and feed, and ample room to roam and grow. Our buildings are designed to provide a comfortable home that is protected from predators, inclement weather and disease. Roth turkeys are happy, healthy, and hearty!
Our History
The roots of the Roth Turkey farm began in 1965. Les and Ruth Roth purchased the farm from a close relative and began raising poultry.
Les and Ruth’s second son, Ken and his wife Deb, saw an opportunity to expand the farms poultry production. In 1988, they began raising turkeys in a remodeled facility and built another building to house an additional flock. They started by selling primarily to large corporations, who processed the birds for deli meats.
In 2000, Ken, Deb and their five children began to raise a flock of turkeys specifically for the holiday seasons. This single flock of 2,000 turkeys has grown to over 15,000. Every year since, Roth turkeys have been marketed locally, and through our farm, to families who wish to have a farm fresh, never frozen turkey for their holiday gatherings. Building relationships with repeat customers over the years has grown to be one of the favorite parts of our farm.
As a farm family, there is satisfaction in being able to see the entire process of watching a small turkey poult grow from less than a day old to market weight then, be able to deliver this processed turkey into the hands of our customers. As we care for the turkey throughout the growing season, we often think of the families that will gather around the table for the holidays and we are very thankful we get to have a small part in families coming together.
